Description
THE WAY OF SANT’AGOSTINO from Cassago Brianza to Pavia
“The world is a book. Who does not travel knows only one page “are the famous words of St. Augustine and the pages of his life will accompany you all the way!
The friends of Cammino of S. Agostino Association, animated by the great passion of walking together (“our privileged form of friendship and sharing”), have designed great itineraries that link together all the Marian shrines of the Ambrosian diocese thought of as a flower, a rose, two leaves and a stem that leads to Genoa to then resume in African territory: http://www.camminodiagostino.it
Here we present only a small journey of three stages (3 days and 2 nights) leading from Cassago Brianza to Milan to end the itinerary in Pavia where the remains of the great Saint rest in Basilica of S. Pietro in Ciel d’oro .
The pilgrim will be able to confront himself with the figure of the great Saint, from the moment of his conversion (Cassago Brianza), to his baptism (Baptistery of the Duomo of Milan) to his tomb (Pavia).
In Pavia it’s possible to join up with Via Francigena that crosses the city and with Via Francisca coming from Lavena Ponte Tresa.
